Joining the communities worldwide celebrating the International Yoga Day, Steppers celebrated Yoga Day during the morning assembly on 21st June, 2017 to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to everyone. The Steppers performed different yoga postures like Vrikshasana, Uttaanaasa, Trikonaasana, Bhadrasa, Shashankaasana and it finally ended with Pranayama and meditation. They were made aware of the many benefits of practising yoga. They got the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body. The day highlighted the fact that yoga can contribute in a holistic way to achieving equilibrium between mind and body. The Steppers were made aware that this approach to health and wellbeing can make a direct and useful contribution to humankind's quest to achieve sustainable development and move towards lifestyles that are in harmony with nature.
