Mayor Inaugurates First Amena Rahim Memorial Interschool Football.

Your talent determines what you can do. Your motivation determines how much you are willing to do, your attitude determines how well you do it. 30th August is marked as a red letter day in the history of Stepping Stones High School, the day saw the inauguration of the state of the art tennis courts by Mr. Trimbak Tupe the Honourable Mayor of Aurangabad. The occasion was graced by the chairman of SSHS Mr. Abdul Hussain, the Director Mrs. Insiya Hussain, the Executive Director Mrs. Naseem Rahim and other trustees of the school as well as the PTA members.
An Inter School Foot Ball Tournament for primary section was organised for the first time in Aurangabad in the memory of Late Mrs. Amena Fazle Abbas Rahim co-founder of Stepping Stones High School. The one day knockout tournament was declared open by Hon. Mr. Trimbak Tupe who himself was a great Kabaddi player in his time.
The opening ceremony was breathtaking with a foot ball dance and the release of colourful balloons flying high in the sky. This was followed by an emotional speech by Mr. Abdul Hussain who fondly remembered his mother and her contribution in nurturing the sportsmen spirit in her children. He also recalled the generosity of his mother who greatly contributed to the upliftment of the society. He thanked the principal for taking the initiative to commence this tournament in the loving memory of his mother.
There was an overwhelming participation by 9 schools from Aurangabad & Jalna namely Nath Valley School, Tender Care Home, Golden Jubilee School, PSBA School, Cambridge School, The Jain International School, Scholars Valley, Dr. Y.S.Khedkar International School. The second runner’s up of the tournament was Cambridge School.  
The final was played between Stepping Stones High School and Golden Jubilee School, Jalna where Stepping Stones won by 4-0.  
Mr. D’Cruize, the principal thanked the principals of the participating schools for making this tournament a grand success.
